Hijab Waheed


Hijab Waheed is a Research Fellow at CREB. Her research interests include development economics, gender, education, and agriculture. As a part of MPhil Economics program, she did her research thesis on women empowerment. In her paper she studies the impact of childhood exposure to violence on women’s well-being with respect to women’s exposure to domestic violence and studies the effectiveness of Punjab government’s initiatives to protect women. She is currently studying structural change and agrarian growth in Punjab and is involved in a project which aims to look at the performance of community organizations.
