Zunia Tirmazee

Zunia is an Assistant Professor at CREB and a Research Fellow at the Lahore School. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the Lahore School of Economics. Her research interest is in labor markets with a focus on gender and education. Her research focuses on understanding the implications of different demand and supply side factors for labor market outcomes of various referent groups. Her ongoing research includes testing the effectiveness of a low-cost motivational nudge on women’s job search effort and the subsequent decision to enter labor force; understanding firms’ constraints to hiring women; understanding the impact of post-secondary education background of graduates on their labor market outcomes. She is also entering new avenues of research with some of her recent work exploring the significance of social norms for sustained behavioral change.
