The Centre for Research in Economics and Business (CREB) organized Lahore School of Economics First International Conference on Applied Development Economics which was held from 12th – 13th September, 2018 in Lahore, Pakistan. The Conference highlighted frontier research that is being conducted in Pakistan with the aim of economic development and poverty alleviation. The purpose of the conference was two-fold: one, to highlight the on-going research in Pakistan, both by researchers residing in the Pakistan and abroad; and two, to provide an opportunity to local researchers to obtain feedback on their existing research from an audience of experienced researchers in their field. Dr. Imran Rasul, Professor of Economics at the University College London delivered the Plenary Address.
