Why Do You Want the Job? On Power and Empathy in Pakistan´s Government Services

On top of inquiring whether access to power and its questionable use for personal gains can indeed be a motive to join the civil services, we test whether targeted training can mitigate this issue from the onset, namely by making officers aware of the negative effects of power abuse. To do so, we introduced a light touch intervention of ethical leadership, solutions and issues.
